Hi everyone!
Long time, no posting. I've had to put blogging to one side because I've simply not had time to think about it let alone write or take photos. I'm moving house you see, out of my parents and into a flat I am renting with my boyfriend. I've got so much stuff whirling around in my head and the whole thing is just so stressful.
Being people who have never lived away from home, we have had to buy all of the normal household stuff and we are still not finished! It's crazy to think about how much stuff us humans surround ourselves with which back when our cavemen ancestors were around, they didn't have any of it and managed to live.
Because of all of this, my makeup spending has been very very low. Since finding out that our offer had been accepted, I haven't spent anything on makeup. And actually, if I am truthful, it is quite refreshing... oddly. I've got so much makeup and the like that I really need to sort it out and use up what I can. I think once I've moved it will be easier to do so because I will have my own space and can make things to my liking whereas at home in a shared bedroom it is very hard to keep things organised.
The packing... oh my gosh! ARGHHHHHHH!!!!! I've not got any furniture to take as that is with my boyfriend apart from pieces that we have bought and are already at the flat. But what I thought would be a simple task is actually a nightmare. I said before that I've not got much room in my parents house and this is so much worse when you have boxes to stuff. You would think it would be easy to take stuff from one place, pack it up and then put it in another place ready for loading into the car. Nope. So not what I thought.
Also, because I can't drive, I am relying on my Mum to take my stuff to the flat. Luckily it is Summer holidays at the moment so she is not working... I however am so I've not had much time to sort things. And even though our car is quite big, it is going to take at least two trips. Thankfully I'm only moving about a 25 minute drive away.
So I've got to be sorted and packed by Saturday morning, then I am off. Then I have to unpack it all and assemble the flat pack furniture. Can't wait...
I am so glad that I am doing this with my boyfriend though, if I was on my own I would be going crazy. Or crazier than I am going anyway haha.
Soooooo.... Once I've moved in and sorted all of the unpacking and adjusting, I still wont be able to post as I wont have any internet until we sort that out.
Anyway, if you managed to get to the end of my waffle and moaning, thanks and I will get a post up as soon as I can :)

My holiday pictures - Stourport Canal Ring
Hi everyone, I've not been a very good blogger lately, I've been so tired and haven't had the energy to post. I thought I'd show you all some photos from my week on the canals near and around Birmingham. I had a really good time and I'd like to do it again one day. We were really lucky with the weather, it was soooo hot and sunny. We started in a place called Alvechurch, cruised along to Worcester, then made our way up to Stourport and Kidderminster, through Stourbridge and Dudley then lastly through parts of Birmingham. And we went to Cadbury World! Yum yum!

I'm off on holiday!
Hi everyone! Just to let you all know that I am going away on holiday for a week. I'm going with my boyfriend and his family for a canal holiday which I've never been on before so hopefully I enjoy it. I'm taking my camera with me so I might share some photos when I get back. In the meantime while I am away, I have scheduled some posts to go up throughout the week, one almost every day so I hope you all enjoy reading them. They are all quite short and mostly pictures as I've stupidly left it to the last minute to write them. There are more reviews on the MAC Hey Sailor collection and a nail post coming up towards the end of the week.
When I get back, I will have a post on the SensatioNail gel manicure kit which I've applied for my holiday. I hope they last through all of the lock opening and dog walking I will be doing.
After that, there will be more Indie nail brands popping up here and there. Also a skincare routine post, as requested by one of my readers and my May favourites.
If you have anything you would like me to post on, leave me a comment or drop me an email and I will try my best to get something together. It can be anything, makeup/nails/hair/skincare or even some personal questions.
Anyway, I hope you all have a good week and I look forward to posting again when I get back!

Day out in Hastings
On Saturday (3rd March), the boyfriend and I went for a day out in Hastings, on the coast of East Sussex. The weather wasn't at it's best but it brightened up later in the day.
First we went to the Blue Reef Aquarium, they have some lovely fish in there. It was really hard to take decent photos though due to the lighting and not being allowed to use flash photography. I need to learn more about my camera to get better photos in darker places in future. The fish were so quick too, every time I snapped, the fish had darted off!
After the Aquarium we went to the arcades and spent ages playing on the 2p machines. We won lots of prizes in them! We've never won prizes on them before so were quite excited.
Then we went to the Smugglers Caves which are situated in the cliffs. It was such a trek to get up there, the steps are quite steep and there are an awful lot of them. I don't know how the people who live up there do it... they must be very fit compared to me lol! Anyway, the caves are where people used to smuggle goods into the country because of the high taxes which made things so expensive at the time. They were much later used as an air raid shelter during WW2 and they also used to hold Jazz shows in there. It was quite interesting and worth the struggle to get up there. The views from the top of the cliff were really nice too.
After that, we headed off to the shops for a bit before going back to catch the train. It was a great day and I want to go back for another visit, there are a lot of things to do in Hastings.
Have any of you been to Hastings before?

A little introduction to a new friend of mine. Puppy pictures!
This is Asha.
My boyfriend's family got her a few weeks before Christmas and she is now about four months old. She is a Miniature Schnauzer so she isn't going to be a large dog when she grows up. She is such a little munchkin, gets up to lots of mischief, loves to nibble everything and everyone and likes to bark on her walks and whenever she goes in the garden. She has settled in nicely with their other dog, Harvey (English Springer Spaniel) and even though she bugs him but tugging his ears and biting at his legs, he still likes to curl up with her to sleep. Hopefully she will stop pestering him as she gets older and realises that when he growls at her it is time to stop.
Here are some more photos of her and some of Harvey.
And here is the handsome Harvey

Hiya Everyone!
I know I haven't been posting much recently but I've been really busy with a bit of a project during the evenings so haven't really had much time to put toward the blog.
Other than makeup, another hobby of mine is knitting. I've been knitting for about four years now. One of my colleagues is pregnant at the moment and due next month. Knitting can be time consuming and expensive when making adult sized garments so I was quite excited to make something for her new baby, not only because I'd never knitted for a baby before but also because it wasn't going to take forever and be really expensive to make.
My colleague is having a little girl so here is what I've made for her.

Then I made a cardigan for when the baby gets a bit older so she can grow into this one.

White cardigan which has sparkly strands mixed in with the yarn, it looks really pretty and girly.

Girly pink daisy buttons and pocket details

You might be able to see the sparkles in the yarn here. It flashes from purples to pink.
What do you think? The patterns came from a book called Natural Nursery Knits by Erika Knight
